Meet the Artist
Hi, I’m Mia!
As a self-taught artist, I began learning embroidery In 2017. I started by embroidering simple phrases and designs, and quickly moved on to pet portraits, full color landscapes, and miniature embroideries for necklace pendants. Embroidery has endless possibilities, and I fell in love with it instantly. I expanded into creating two-dimensional needle felted “paintings” in 2021 as well.

The Process
Embroidery and needle-felting are time-intensive processes – the very definition of a “labor of love!” I spend anywhere from 20 to 30 hours to complete one of my small, full color landscape embroideries, and about 10 to 15 hours for my small needle felt paintings.
Here are some work-in-progress photos of my work. I often go back over the same areas over and over, adding new bits of detail each time, until the piece is complete.
